About Sarah Sheard…
Sarah was the first in the UK to be awarded the Gemological Institute Of America Full Scholarship which enabled her to complete a Full Gemology and Accredited Jewellery Degree qualifying her to assess, identify and grade diamonds & coloured precious stones with the accreditation of Graduate Gemologist by GIA. After graduating she began working for one of London’s prestigious English jewellers within the historical Burlington Arcade where she gained invaluable experience and was given a fantastic introduction to the industry.
With a particular passion for diamonds, and keen to focus more on design and manufacture, Sarah then went on to work for a leading antique jeweller and diamond and coloured stone merchant for many years. Based in Hatton Garden for over 10 years, the heart of London’s diamond district, Sarah also travelled internationally. Here she made extensive contacts in the trade and designed bespoke diamond and coloured stone jewellery as well as engagement rings. Having worked closely with private customers, diamond merchants and goldsmiths, Sarah was inspired to launch her own bespoke jewellery company.
